Urban Photography

For years I’ve researched and loved street photography. Photos of the hustle and bustle of every day life, capturing those moments in time. Unfortunately, I don’t live in the biggest city with an overly populated downtown or inner city to really capture the essence of street photography.

However, through many failed attempts, I began to pay more attention to detail and finding beauty in places that so many us pass right by without notice or second glance. The way the sun may reflect off or pass through certain objects creating interesting shadows on the ground, the intricate detail and design of pre modern architecture or even simply the sidewalk flowers and park squirrels.

In hindsight, my attempts at street photography taught me to slow down, look around and see there really is beauty everywhere.

I guess they weren’t failed attempts after all.
